The Artillery Block 5
It has also been provided with a
turret alike the one in Block 2 and is armed with :
- two 8.1 cm mortars, pattern
32, range 2.8 to 3.5 km, rate 13 to 18 rounds a minute.
They are short barreled guns with a low muzzle velocity,
lobbing off their heavy shells. It is topped with one
'cloche', embedded in the concrete, for spying out and
short range automatic rifle coverage fire and another one
for hand-grenade launching.
